Mark Howard, Pastor

Pastor Mark Howard was born and raised in Apex, NC. He grew up attending Salem Baptist Church in Apex.

Upon graduating he joined the Navy Reserve and attended Campbell University. He transferred to Appalachian State and graduated in 1990. While attending law school at Campbell, Pastor Mark was called to active duty in the Navy and the direction of his life began to change. He enrolled in a Master’s Degree program at Appalachian after getting out of the Navy. It was during his Master’s program that Mark committed his life to Jesus Christ under the preaching ministry of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Boone. Soon after being saved two big things happened in his life. First, he met his wife, Michele, and second, he felt called to attend seminary. It was during seminary that Mark received the call of God to pastor. Since then he has pastored four churches.
Pastor Mark and Michele have three children… Charlie (wife Olivia) Emma (husband Gideon) and Noah. They also have one grandchild, Ella.

Mark came to Red Bud on May 15, 2022. Other than his love for teaching and preaching God’s Word, he enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, Hurricanes Hockey, mountains, beaches, spending time with his family and convertibles. He also enjoys meeting new people and would love for you to come meet him one Sunday at Red Bud!
